I had the week as Jason got the actual day of the anniversary.
Sunday: July 28th
A Romantic Evening! At least what we can do. We were in Island Park at the time with other people around.
Monday: July 29th
Scrapbook! A Tradition that I will be giving Jason every year. This one was from the time we met through our first year of marriage.
Tuesday: July 30th
Stick of Dates! So when it's the days that he is picking what we should go and do on our date, and he can't think of anything (which is most of the time) He can go to the jar and pick, even if we have already done it, we can still do it again! :) I'm not finished with it yet. In a work of process, but I gave him the idea.
Wednesday: July 31st
Professional Massage! An hour long at home massage from our friend who is a professional masseuse, which we used our wedding gift that she gave us. Yay! We were in Heaven. Our first professional message and we might as well do it once a month! Then Pizza for Lunch as we watched the Bachelorette.
Thursday: August 1st
Photo Session! Had Professionally pictures done; thanks to my Brother and Sister in-law's neighbor, Karly. We all had a lot of fun!! :( Minus the part where Jason has Bits all over his face. Poor Husband!! But Karly worked her magic. This is only a Sneak Peak. I will have to get the others later from her. We never got our engagement Photos done professionally. Thanks to our close friends for taking them. But I guess this makes it up for them.
Friday: August 2nd
Letters to Each other! Another thing that we will be doing every year. Write a letter and read a letter. We started writing these when we were engaged (Jason just before the time I would have left on my mission for my church) and I wrote mine the day before we were getting married. We read those to each other and wrote another one that we will read next year. I will paste it on here. It's nothing personal.
Jason to Me
"My
Dearest Kendra,
I Love You So Much! I am the
luckiest guy in the world to have you in my life, and I can’t wait till we get
married and share everything with each other. Ever since you came into my life,
I have felt alive in such a way that I have never before experienced. I love
all the stories and experiences that we share together, you truly are the
greatest person in the world to me!
So today is Feb. 1, and had you
chosen to go on the mission, you would be reporting to the MTC today. It is so
weird to think. And all our phone calls, texts, and video chats would be at an
end. We would also have to wait 18 more months to see each other in person. But
I came into the picture and I am grateful for the decisions that you have made.
The Lord has blessed our lives in so many ways and he will continue to bless us
even more. I can’t wait till August on our special day in that special place,
when a new Kingdom will be created! And there is no one else in the World I
would rather be with than you!
Kendra, I love the way that you care
for me so much. You go out of your way to make me feel special. I admire your
organization skills, and journal keeping. Yesterday as I was going through
school records to find more information about your Mother, I felt very excited
to get to meet her someday. Everything you have and are, you owe to your
mothers. I truly am glad that you have made the decision to be with me. I know
we will have experiences of sacrifice during these next few years as we start
our lives together. This sacrifice cannot be experienced in the mission field.
I love you so much Kendra!!!

All My Heart, And So Much More!!! Your
Man!

Kendra to Jason
"Dearest Jason!!
I am one luckiest girl in the world!! I am just about to
marry you and honestly I am nervous. How our lives will be to finally be
sleeping with you, to be able to LIVE with you!! I’m also very excited. Now I
LOVE using song lyrics on how I feel, because well they say it a lot better.
“Forever can never be long enough for me. To feel like I’ve
had long enough with you. Forget the world now, we won’t let them see. But
there’s one thing left to do. Now that the weight had lifted. Love has surely
shifted my way. Marry me. Today and every day. Marry me. If I ever get the
nerve to say ‘Hello’ in this cafĂ©. Say you will. Say you will. Together can
never be close enough for me. To feel like I am close enough to you. You wear
white and I’ll wear out the words “I love you” and you’re beautiful. Now that
the wait is over. And love has finally shown her my way. Promise me. You’ll
always be happy by my side. I promise to sing to you when all the music dies.
Marry me. Today and everyday. Marry me!!”
The first day that I met you, I was seriously nervous, as
much I am right now.
Here is another song lyric that is more how I feel
“I don’t get many things right the first time. In fact, I am
told that a lot. Now I know all the wrong turns, the stumbles and falls brought
me here. And where was I before the day that I first saw your lovely face? Now
I see it everyday and I know…that I am, I am the luckiest.
What if I’d been born fifty years before you in a house on a
street where you lived? Maybe I’d be outside as you passed on your bike would I
know? And in a white sea of eyes I see one pair that I recognize and I know.
That I am, I am the luckiest. I love you more than I have ever found a way to
say to you. Next door there’s an old man who lived to his nineties and one day
passed away in his sleep. And his wife; she stayed for a couple of days and
passed away. I’m sorry, I know that’s a strange way to tell you that I know we
belong. That I know, that I am, I am the luckiest.
I LOVE YOU JASON!!"
Saturday: August 3rd
Picture Frame! After our trip to Provo, I shown Jason what I had been working on. I haven't put it up on our bedroom wall yet, but it will be!!
Then it all ended with eating cake!!
Almost a year old cake. This was the cake from our Idaho Falls reception which was on August 10th last year. The cake that we had in California, August 3rd is still in California.

So fun! I love the scrapbook one, I made a Shutterfly book for my husband last year and unfortunately didn't finish the one that I started on this year, I need to work on that when I have more time :P
ReplyDeleteI tried Shutterfly, I just had never finished, yet I still haven't finished the scrapbook. But I will eventually and at least he gets to see some of it. :)
DeleteThose are such great ideas for celebrating! Love the date sticks and the massage. The scrapbook will be so great to look back on through the years!
ReplyDeleteI also wanted to let you know I nominated you for a Liebster Award for fellow bloggers. You can see the info on my post: http://tillthensmileoften.com/id-like-to-thank-the-academy/
