Marriage/Relationship Goal-August

Linking up with Amberly and Kalyn
I am horrible at making meal plans and actually keeping them. My moods in food always change that day and then I just want to make something else that is possibly easy or what not.

After the semester, Jason and I had the opportunity to help a friend/second family paint their cabin in Island Park. Spending time with them and how they make their meals; it's was so good and yet simple to make. I was never big on sandwiches, but after that vacation/work project we had sandwiches every day and i was good!! Plus since we have so much bread, we HAVE to use it. We keep getting free bread from a family friend which is so wonderful!

My husband LOVES food, anything good. In the beginning of our marriage; I tried to cook, but it just wasn't good enough for him. He is too experience than I am. Which made me useless and didn't even want to cook for him. Through out the months that we have been married and now after a year; I'm still not the greatest but I have been very good at cooking. Yet I still need the energy to make the meals. When I do make meals they are recipes from Pinterest. I need to look at the picture of what I'm making;

1) To see if I'm actually doing it right and 2) To see if I'm actually interested in wanting to eat it. I have a lot of cookbooks but it's not useful in our home very much. It is when Jason is cooking though.

So this month I am going to cook Jason meals; breakfast, lunch and dinner oh and dessert. Can't forget the dessert!!

Oh and a small goal; to keep the kitchen clean so that I can actually cook and be in the mood to cook. I can't cook with a messy kitchen, I just can't.

This morning I put the goal into action along with some music that I thought about doing from now on;

Morning Musicals
Afternoon Pop and other music
Evening with Enlightenment Music
But for Sundays; all around Church Music

Breakfast:
Oatmeal with Strawberries

Lunch:
Sandwiches

Dinner:
Mexican Pizza

Tomorrow; just because
Breakfast:
Cereal

Lunch:
More Sandwiches

Dinner:
BBQ Chicken Salad
(I have actually done this and it's really good!!)

    1. I haven't tried the Mexican Pizza--and won't today, since remembered that my husband has 11 year old scouts over, so we are having hamburgers instead. But the BBQ Chicken Salad is delicious!
