Holidays and Traditions

It’s been too long!! Even though, not many actually read this, but it’s mostly for myself—journaling and catching up with my own life. Also with my parents so they know what has been going on in my life, since I’m thousand and thousand miles away!!

HALLOWEEN PARTY:
Jason and I hosted a Halloween party for our family and friends, it went pretty well actually. Decorated the home, had a BBQ (as we burnt the grass in front of our place-oops, well at least that spot will be extra green once spring comes again) Also had some kid shows going on, Halloween music, talking, dancing and so forth. It was quite fun.

JASON’S SURPRISE BIRTHDAY PARTY:
He sure was very surprised!! Thanks to Andy Johnson helping me plan it a bit. It wasn’t big, but it was fun. Including surprising him. So It started off with Jason out getting internet to download something onto his lap top since there was some kind of virus and the next day we had a presentation to, “USANA Super Saturday” Which it took FOREVER!! He ended up going over to Andy’s house, still took forever. As everyone was at our place, I had Andy try and get Jason come back home. Well that was pretty tricky for him, but luckily Jason had called me—just after he called up Landon. Which as he called him, we were all around the garage door as Jason was going to come in. Landon trying to decide if he should answer it or not. Well he didn’t, but call him back. It was actually funny at the time.
Finally once Jason came home-we all heard Jason driving in, music up really loud. When he turn off the car, he was signing at the top of his lungs. The house was pitch black and as soon as Jason came in and turned on the lights, Jason’s best friend Andrew was RIGHT behind the door and popped out as the rest of us saying surprised. He sure was VERY VERY surpised. The birthday party surprised was a success!!
Baked him a cake, which the candles or must I say; matches went crazy once I lit it and the smoke alarm went off, oops! A tradition that his family as done for years was that everyone within the family gives that person 3 birthday gifts, says something with a bump on their head and say 3 things what it could be, like “you play with it” “you can color on it” and “you can drive it around” or something like that and have that birthday person guess and bump the present on their head. Okay I can’t explain it very will, maybe someday I will. But we are bringing that tradition onto our family too J

Andrew drew this of Jason, which actually looks like him!!

SUPER SATURDAY:
My first and it was pretty well!! I didn’t present, but Jason did. I also learned a lot. Left Jason a surprise on our bedroom door in the morning, so when he came out to go downstairs, balloons everywhere!!

THANKSGIVING:
Our first Thanksgiving together. We made dinner all by ourselves and the turkey was outstanding!!
Along with a new tradition that we will be doing every year together and with our future family.

BLACK FRIDAY:
My very first!! Now with Jason and his family, it’s a sport with them. And I actually really like that. Jason and I got a lot of great deals and got gifts for my family as we go to California for Christmas. Which we both can’t wait for that to happen. We already got our hotel in Las Vegas as we stay a night on our way to California. Next year we will plan more ahead of time, dress better and budget a bit more. Even though we got all that we planned on getting, like I got some snow boots, snow gloves and snow pants—and so much more. OH YEAH!! Another tradition that we will have for Christmas—Opening one gift on Christmas Eve will be PJ’s.

SNOW!!
