First of all, we didn't go to Italy, someday we will..hopefully in a year or two, or when our kids are grown up a bit and our business is successful we will for sure go. Or maybe when there's a cruise that goes to Italy.
During the
week Jason and I went on a date, it wasn’t too big, but at the same time it
was. First of all, we planned it a week in advance. Second, the day of the
date, I thought to myself that it was our 2 months since we have been together,
Jason even brought it up as we were having dinner. So this is all how it went
down.
I am a
pinterest fanatic. Thanks to one to my wonderful “little sister” Kim for
introducing it to me back in December when I was starting to plan the wedding.
Jason has a love/hate relationship with me being on pinterest a lot. There’s
this one website, Dating Website Which they also have a pinterest. So I’ve
been pinning a lot of dating ideas.
Let me tell
you what’s going on, When I was working; I hated going to work, I would
contently be missing Jason. Well since now I lost my job and that I have more
time on being home, getting our home all cute and getting our business going. I
also have more time with my husband and enjoying my time with him and giving
him more. Shortly after, I have received a wedding gift; a book called "The Proper Care & Feeding of Husbands", there are some crazy wifes out there.
Back to what
I was saying, so I want to treat my husband special and prepare for our family.
Monday
Evenings we have Family Home Evenings. Even though it’s just the two of us, we
can still put it into our lifes and keep it that way. Plus I have this newlywed
Family Home Evening book that I’ve been using.
Wednesday
Mornings we go to the temple
Thursday
Evenings we have USANA presentations.
Every week
we go on a date, to something fun and crazy together. But this day varies on
Jason’s work schedule, since his changes a lot.
So the date,
I got the idea on The Dating Diva’s website. As I was skimming through, I found
this
Now this is
our date. Since we always joke around that he is a stallion… It was just
perfect!

As Jason was
upstairs playing with his gun (not shooting, just taking it apart and so forth)
or he was on the iPad playing games, I was out getting everything and got the
downstairs all decorated. Jason did infact help me with making the dough (which
he wasn’t sure what I was going to do with it)
The
Decorations:
After I was
done decorating, I had brought Jason downstairs. Which now that I think of it,
I should have taken a picture of it, because it was pretty funny!! He was
wearing my winter hat (good thing is, it was just nippy outside!! We went by
the sheets of lights and to the garage. Gave him a breadstick that I got from
pizza hut (which he thought I had made it from the dough we just made) YEAH
RIGHT!! I drove, he didn’t have the hat
on as I was driving to the airport. Our flight was at 9pm (Honestly, I didn’t
even look at any flight times and I wasn’t even sure if the airport took
anymore flights) So we were going to go park, I did a turn and left the
airport. Told Jason to put the hat on to cover his eyes. He did and mentioned
that he could tell where we are going. He was pretty right most of the time,
but at the end of the trip, he wasn’t until we walked inside our home.
He sure was
very surprised!! We went ahead and started our calzones. With some Italian
music, and since we don’t have internet in our home, I went over to Mc. D’s,
since it’s near us and downloading a youtube video with Italian music on our
iPad.
Italian
Cuisine-Calzones
DOUGH:
1 cup warm
water (close to hot)
1 Tablespoon
yeast
1 Teaspoon
salt
1 Teaspoon
sugar
1 Tablespoon
oil
2 ½ cups
flour
In one bowl;
combine water, yeast and sugar. Mix till for 5 seconds, then have a lid to
cover the bowl (BUT DO NOT SEAL IT!!) As the yeast goes into motion; in another
bowl mix in the flour and salt. In the bowl you will be using to mix everything
together, pour the oil. Check up on the yeast bowl and stir a bit more until
dissolved and bubbles. Pour the bowl with the yeast in it into the bowl with
the oil. Then carefully, every so often pour in the flour/salt. Stir well until
dough pulls away from the bowl. You may use your hands. Turn onto floured
surface & knead in the remainder of flour. DO NOT add a lot of flour. You
may put a littlee bit of flour onto your hands. (TRUST ME, I DID IT WRONG THE
FIRST TIME) Form ball & place in greased bowl with a hand towel on top. Let
rise till double in size.
Roll dough
out cover half the dough with sauce and desired toppings… and I mean half
(Jason didn’t and it didn’t have this bubble after it was done) Fold over
dough, seal edges and place on baking sheet. Bake in 375 degree oven for 15-18
mins.
Desired
toppings may be; pepperoni, olives, peppers, mushrooms, cheese and sauce.
YUMMY!!
Just after we put the calzones in the oven, we got a knock on the door, it was a tenant, who lives right next to us. Being apartment managers, you will get this a lot and a lot more different situations. Well she needed help finding this little kitten that got stuck underneath her car or something like that.
