Where do I begin!! First Jason has been planning this for 2 months. Just before Valentine's day, Jason said that my transportation is covered to head out to Idaho. Well I thought it was through the airplane. I was wrong, he was going to drive to California and back. But since my car didn't get sold-there was a change of plans. So he bought a plane ticket to California and plan to drive back to Idaho with my car.
I was texting Jason all through the day, Friday thinking about it now-there were some things that Jason texted that got me a bit confused. "I'm so in love with you" "I'm so excited for you" It just wasn't normal for him to text me that. So Jason, Wednesday evening; was our last night that we got to video chat with one another. Since his friend, Andy just got back home from his mission on Thursday, I wasn't able to video chat with him. Jason then said that he would make it up to me. What would he do to make it up for me. What's Friday's chat going to be different than the other ones that we've had. I didn't know what it could have been. Couple weeks ago Jason did tell me that he had a surprise for me, still didn't know what it could have been. Still thought Jason was in Idaho, and thought he was going to come to California a week later.
So I was excepting to hang out with Dave Friday evening. Met up at Pismo Beach, I was a bit late. Dave was telling me that the sun is setting-I started driving faster. As I arrived, I picked up Dave at a corner as he was waiting for me. Parked my car and off we go to the pier.
Oh, and as I was at my house I thought about my CTR ring that I always wear on my left ring finger to switch it to my right hand, I did it right before Dave and I got out of the car. Dave mentioned that ring on my finger, also asked when Jason was going to pop the question to me. I answered, possibly April or May; Dave laughed inside of course. As we on the pier I saw an otter, so I stopped and told Dave. He kept walking, I went along with him.
Jason: He was so nervous, even though he knew I was going to say yes, he just wanted it to go right. For me not to see him, until he was ready. Dave hugged me and was saying something, that I don't remember anymore. I pulled back, but Dave kept hugging me. Then I heard my name, "Kendra" my thoughts were, (someone from church, school, someone...) I turned around and it was JASON!! "OH MY GOODNESS!!"
All I thought, HOW!!??? WHAT???!!! WHEN??!! HOW??!! I'm so confused. Well Jason finished school a week early, told his teachers his plans and went on a plane Friday morning, Dave picked him up at LAX.
Dave is such a big part of our (Jason and I) new lifes together!! He's the one who told me to write to Jason in the first place. Got Jason to come down to visit, to meet for the first time, and now Dave helped Jason with the planning of the proposal!!
"Kendra Gayle Sloan, I want to marry you" (...Wait that's not right...) "Will you marry me?" (Yeah, that's a lot better)
Honestly, I didn't see the ring till after 5 minutes of it being on my finger. I couldn't stop hugging him, I was too excited and happy!! Also I would have still been that surprised even if he didn't proposed. I love him so much!! <3
My Parent's Surprise
On the road back to Santa Maria, we called up his parents and siblings in the car. We decided to surprise my parents at the house. The link above is how we did it. I came out from hiding and said that we got engaged.

So there's a little story about this ring. Jason saw this one ring and he just had to get it!! The reason why he wanted to get it;
*There's 22 mini diamonds (that's how old Jason and I are now and will still be when we get married)
*Adding the big diamond, 22+1=23 (The 23rd is my birthday day)
*The 3's: He Proposed on 3/30/2012--we are getting married on August THIRD--The diamond is 3 quarters. The ring would have cost $3,000 but Jason got it for $800. He sure knows how to bargain <3
