Catching Up-Idaho Trip

As Jason left California every single night we would go on Skype and chat for hours on end. It's the most than I've spent on it in forever! I even got to meet his parents and younger brothers. Great family! One day, as I showed Jason my hat that looks like his, I decided to also wear those glasses (which I gave Jason while he was on his mission) Man do I know what to get Jason! Every gift that I've given him, it suits him well!

1) On the mission during the 4th of July I sent out Jason, Dave and Trent a package, with a lot of things in there; jokes, the 3D glasses that has the lens popped out, some sweets and an American flag, since all those guys were out of the country and I bet they were missing America; I was right.

2) For Christmas I got him this rotating tie/belt rack. Jason has over 200 ties on the mission, but he still has a ton. Then also got him this drinking straw glasses.
Of course he enjoyed it.
3) For Valentine's just this past week, I sent him a package; perfect timing too. It got to Idaho RIGHT on Valentine's day. I gave him a bunch of candies and goodies that have some saying on it. Like "You make me laffy taffy" and "Love, from your honey bunches of oats" (My nickname that he calls me; along with others)
So with the hats, I decided to be myself and as he was being himself too, with his brother; Kyle along side with him did the same thing. We sure enjoyed our time skyping each other.

So Jason planned a way for me to get to Idaho to come visit him for New Years! Well he sure made it happen. He has this friend, Bryce who him and his family were going to be at Disneyland during Christmas break. Since that's where I live near, Jason told me that I should go up with them back to Idaho. Well I was in Santa Maria for Christmas. Then the next day; December 26th, I went over to San Jose to visit my best friend Katie and a whole lot of people just before going on my mission (which I didn't end up going)

Now this was my trip, which I got really sleepy from. The 26th, me and my parents drove up to San Jose. The 27th, I was planning on driving back to San Jose, but it turned out being that I left at 1am on the 28th. Right when I got to Santa Maria; me and my mom drove to Santa Ana to meet up with Bryce and his family. I was so tired! good thing my mom drove out there. Then it was the rest of the day driving to St. George, Utah which we stayed the night at. We went swimming and went in the hot tub over at Bryce's sister in-law's grandma's pool that evening.
Next day: We continued driving. Now Jason wanted to go do a session in the Salt lake Temple, so Bryce and his family were going to drop me off there. Turned out being that Jason couldn't wait any longer once he arrived in Salt Lake and we didn't make it there yet. He continued driving to where we were and met him in American Fork. I literally ran towards him and jumped up and wrapped my arms and legs around him. I have missed him so much. Thank you for the Shurtliffs for taking me up to Idaho!
Now the Salt Lake Temple Square! We went almost everywhere! Still didn't go to a few other spots, but we will someday in the near future. The session was amazing! A little different than the ones in LA. But you get a lot in there. As we were doing a session, I met this one girl who was sitting right next to me; Catherine. We sat near each other for the whole thing and we chatted hear and there. She's been married for 8 years with 3 children and one on the way. We shared each others stories. Told her that I was going on a mission and yet have a guy. Who this other girl who was sitting next to us; married for 2 weeks said; "I don't even know you two and I could already tell that he adores you" It made me smile so big!! the two girls that I met and their husbands both were wooting for me to stay and marry Jason. It made me smile even more. It was my first time meeting new people in the temple that I never knew before. Exchanged numbers and went our separate ways. texted Catherine once I made the decision on staying and getting married. She will for sure get an invitation!
Went to go meet Jason's sister and her family. Which turned out just being his sister, Natalie and niece. Which just yesterday, February 20th there came a new member of the family, Christen Kyle! A new nephew. Can't wait to meet him in either April or May! After visiting with Natalie, there was this Christmas thing happening near their house, so we stopped by and looked around. Well we didn't get back to Idaho till 2:30am!

Island Park, Idaho:
Drove out to Island Park to meet up with the Mickelsens (second family) and spend the weekend over at their cabin.

Played some games on the x-box kinect, had some laughs and just chilled. Meeting a whole lot of people all at once.

On the left: Jason and I took a nap, cause of our lack of sleep and once I woke up had a bunch of lines on my face, made Jason laugh and wanted to take a picture.
On the right: Played this one game, railboard game thing and had some stuff with that.
Me, Jason, Andrew and Kelsea decided on making a snow cave, so we did!

My first time snowmobiling! and a time to always remember.
Jason took me out for a ride, honestly I was scared, I've been on a motorcycle for the first time just this past year and it wasn't as scary than this! But I had a blast! I even got to ride for a bit. There was this one time that Jason was driving and he went up this one hill and we got air! It was amazing!

Just about when we were going to leave to head back to Idaho Falls we took pictures inside of our snow cave.
As we were driving away, we saw the sun setting, BEAUTIFUL!! We just had to take a photo of it and with it. Didn't turn out so well, but when I accidently zoomed in on us, the picture turned out great!
Just before Idaho Falls, we stopped by in Rexburg and had dinner with Jason's brother, Scott and wife; Nicole and nephew Jaxon. Let me tell you about him, he is just the cutest! Crawling around like crazy at 6 months! Got to know them more as the month came along. Talked about weddings and a whole bunch of stuff with Nicole as our guys were out at school.

Idaho Falls: New Years Eve Party:
Gathered a bunch of people and spent time over at Andrew's family's apartment. Played some wally ball. (Volleyball but we get to use the wall)
Had great laughs as Bryce jumped in the air and ended up hitting his head on the ceiling and hurt his head.

Dance parties as we were playing with the demos of Dance Central and Just Dance.
Bryce, Tyler and Jason dancing to "California Girls" on Just Dance

As the 2011 year was about to end, we all headed over to the house and into the theater room.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
SCORE! My New years kiss, who will forever be mine, every New Year!

Just before BYU-Idaho start their winter semester, they had this I-Night
Getting to know new people, and a whole bunch of games to play. Jason and I got to do some sumo wrestling. We both tied
Jason: 1 in a half
Kendra: 1 in a half.
The last one we both got each other.

While in Idaho Falls a few times and normally on the weekends while fixing up a rental house for his parents. I also got to meet Jason's other brother, Brent and his wife, Ashley and two little adorable little boys! (Ashley was in the same situation as I was in, had her mission call to New York and got married instead) So I got to ask her a lot of questions, which was nice.
Well one day Brent took Jason and I out shooting. I even got to shoot Jason's gun! My very first time too!
Link Below!
Brent shooting his gun and then Jason shooting Brent's gun. Both shooting at a bucket of water.

A part of Idaho Falls. BEAUTIFUL! <3
It's a water fountain that turned into ice!

P.S Jason just makes people laugh, even without trying..
As we were in line as this was happening and Jason caught it on camera!
Worker: "Are you going on guy playing in? or.."
Jason: "Uhh no" (and points to me)
People in the line were just laughing
Jason later asked me what was so funny...
It was just how he said no and pointed to me
