18 Week Bumpdate

Baby is the size of a Sweet Potato

4 in a half months pregnant. I have 5 more months left (from my due date) The pregnancy weeks/months are just confusing. That's why we go by weeks. 40 weeks is when the baby is ready, sometimes comes early, sometimes late. But about 40 weeks is when it's ready. I did the calculations and honestly pregnancy is 10 months not 9 months. But then again the first half month we aren't actually pregnant, the last half of the first month; we just don't even know that we are pregnant. So I guess that first month just doesn't exists.

Feeling: Pretty great, tired somedays. Which normally happens every time I have to go to work, because those are my busy days.

Movements: During the weekend, when my husband was getting ready to leave for a campout with his 11 year old scouts; the baby kicked, my first time that I felt it kick! I guess he...or she really wanted to go with daddy camping. Haven't felt anymore after that. Last night, I felt he/she move and weighing down. Which honestly felt weird!

Weight: I normally weigh myself when I wake up, but I did it after I ate, oh well. Gained 2 Pounds (same weight as I was when I first weighed myself at 6 weeks)

Body: My belly is getting bigger. Every other day; after work-I can barely walk. I feels like I'm that Notre Dame guy or that evil assistant. I make it a laugh in our lives, when my husband calls me to either show me something or whatever he wants to tell me. I say "Yes Master" just for kicks and giggles. Because it's hard to stand up straight.

Stretch Marks: None

Swelling: None

Sleep: There was a night that I kept tossing and turning, because 1) I thought I couldn't sleep on my back and 2) Every time I sleep on my sides, my legs cramp up! Well the next day even though I knew the answer, me just playing it safe. The doctor confirmed me that it's okay to sleep on my back. When I get further along, it will be harder to breathe when laying on my back. Husband helped me by saying to prop my feet up when I do lay down or sit that it will help the blood flow in my body.

Cravings: I haven't had many cravings this week, It comes and goes. Salads, rice, chow mein, hamburgers, and stakes were the things I've wanted this week. Some I actually got, but others I didn't.

Missing: Being able to breathe normally. I caught myself on Sunday as I was reading, and sometimes even talking, that I just needed to breathe every word I say.

Fun Fact: Baby is starting to hiccup.

Best Moment this Week: Went to the Doctor's earlier this week. I love going to the doctors!!

Next Appointment: May 19th, which is a big one. We get to see our little one!! We could find out the gender at this appointment. We shall see what our final say is, if we will find out or not. Which right now, we will not find out.
