The Book of Priceless Memories

It's pretty late right now, but after church today, I took a nap, which is interesting because it's always the other way around, or we are both taking a nap. Or just Jason takes a nap. I would have thought that Jason, coming home pretty late last night would want to take a nap after church. Well he didn't, and I did. I was so pooped! I do want to bring up this thing that Jason and I just started up.

For Family Home Evening last week, I brought up this clip for our lesson.
"Oh Remember, Remember" by Henry B. Eyring
I have been so great at journaling and blogging (lately) I know that Jason isn't great at all for writing, I could tell when we wrote to each other while he was on his mission, that's why I kept asking him a bunch of questions to start up our conversation and let those answers to the questions bring out the stories to tell one another, plus the drawings that we both wrote.

So I've decided to get a notebook, Jason named it and our writings begin. Now since Jason isn't great with words, even sometimes when he speaks to people (which might be hard to seem, because he is a communications major, but it's true) I've decided to have him at least write once a week; Sundays and giving him the option to write in it through out the week if he desires to. Now this notebook isn't just any other journal but it's a notebook of letters to each other. Which our children might read later in their lives. It'll be filled with words, pictures, drawings and other random things.

Now that I had brought up the time Jason and I would ask each other questions, I've had the desire to write down some questions and answering them.

1) What is one talent that you have but usually keep to yourself?
There might be a few; I make pretty awesome cards, either weddings, birthdays and so forth, I can plan events and I'm quite creative.

2) What was one of your favorite Halloween costumes you've ever worn?
When I was Tinkerbell, Peter Pan and even a Pirate.

3) What's the last dream that you remember having?
Honestly it was about my ex boyfriend and my husband was also in it. That's all that I remember though.

4) Have you ever met  celebrity?
Tiffany Alvord!! Other than that, never actually met, but have seem them close by.

5) Favorite exotic animal?
Koalas!

6) Favorite High School Memory?
Swim team, water polo, and band trips.

7) What is your dream job?
Honestly, it's USANA, because my husband and I get to stay home, be with our family, have a full time job with part time hours and me, my husband and my family will also be healthy along the way.

8) Favorite TV show growing up?
i'll just name a couple; Doug, Zoom and Rugrats.

9) Do you love mini cadberry eggs?
Oh yes I DO!!!

10) Can you hula hoop?
Sure Can!!

11) Why do you blog?
I first started because everyone else was, then I wanted to look back to what I had written with all the photos that I've taken and just smile and think to myself, I had a pretty great life and also go back to the hard times and think what I had gone through to make it better and so forth. Now, I know that not many people are reading it, because heck, I'm not the greatest writer AT ALL. My grammar sucks and everything, but I still love to write whatever that I can and I love writing things about my experience in life and the fun moments in my life.

  1. Dang I love that idea so much. I think I might do something similar to Henry B. Eyring and just write something little every day about if I've seen God's hand in my life. I am so bad about doing FHE with Matthew...you should keep posting FHE ideas with just a couple and no kids!
